“Why would you leave her, Norman? Why come back after thirty years?”
Her soft voice on the phone.
“I miss it, sis. I miss the smell of robusta coffee. The rhythm of the land, near Lake Victoria. It's not that I don't love her anymore.”
He says goodbye, gets on the escalator and spots a little boy with his mother, waiting for the next train to arrive.
Ever since his marriage, Norman has been living in this city, that never felt like home. Still staring at the boy, he finds himself pondering.
Where am I? Who am I?
